Dr. Debora Vilaboa founded the Vilaboa Clinic in 1987 with the certainty that some cases showed what could not be explained by the concepts of caries nor periodontal disease. She started gathering an enormous amount of data, analog at the time, and lectured on Tooth Wear as early as 1992, both in Spain and US.
The incipient adhesive restorative dentistry with scattered promoters still in the 90´s was not an obstacle for Dr. Vilaboa to manage Tooth Wear with an adhesive concept at the time, being a pioneer in the field of porcelain laminate veneers and Tooth Wear.
